The VDTR offers a program tailored to the diverse needs and stages of the doctoral process. In collaboration with our partners, we regularly host events that support you throughout your PhD.
- Each semester, the teaching program of the doctoral studies programme 60 “Theological Studies and Research on Religion” provides a rich selection of thematic courses across the various research areas of the VDTR supervisors.
- Our VDTR Open Research Day, held once per semester, is a cornerstone of our community. It offers space for exchange, networking, and visibility for ongoing projects.
- We run recurring workshop series - such as onboarding and completion workshops - that address the specific phases of the doctoral process and the challenges that come with them.
- We regularly organize peer-led workshops on research methods and academic writing in theology, fostering skill development and collegial support.
- To help you grow as an independent researcher, we offer focused input sessions on topics like AI, science communication, and securing third-party funding.
The VDTR is also a vibrant space for engaging with current research topics. We collaborate on public lectures, workshops, and masterclasses to connect scholarship with broader audiences. If you want to plan an event, please get in touch.
