Antiquity
The Antiquity cluster studies the religion and culture of the Near East and the Mediterranean region. The period ranges from the Ancient Near East through Hellenism to Late Antiquity. This covers the theological subjects "Old Testament", "New Testament" and "Patristics", where research on topics in close relation to the neighboring disciplines of history, archaeology and philology is undertaken.
